The First session of the uzbek-korean business council has taken place

  On June, 8th during the visit of representatives commercial and industrial chamber of Korea Republic, the Korean Federation of small and average business, and also business circles of the leading Korean companies and firms led by the minister of knowledge and economy of Korea Republic Choj Kyong Hvan has taken place the First session of the uzbek-korean business council in a format of business negotiations between businessmen of two countries.
By data the republic of Foreign Affairs Ministry, total volume of direct investments of South Korea in economy of Uzbekistan has exceeded $2 billion the grace credit loans given by Fund of economic development and cooperation of Eximbank RK, have made $117 million which have been directed on realisation of priority projects. The uzbek-korean goods turnover in 2009 has exceeded $1,2 billion For today in Uzbekistan operates 351 enterprises with participation of the South Korean capital, 57 of which with 100 percentage Korean capital. Activity of these enterprises is concentrated in spheres easy, chemical, the food-processing industry, trade, mechanical engineering and metal working, housing and communal services, public health services, tourism and services.
In The ministry of external economic relations, investments and trade of Republics Uzbekistan accredited 91 representations of the South Korean companies which field of activity includes carrying out of export-import transactions, rendering of transport services, textile production and electronics service.
