In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 25.01.2018 No. 53 "On measures to introduce modern forms of cotton-textile production," 13 projects are implemented in 11 regions of the country. This was reported by the press service of the Association "Uztekstilprom".
It should be noted that starting with the raw cotton crop of 2018 an experiment is being carried out: domestic textile enterprises can order and advance the production of raw cotton directly from farms and other agricultural producers (Decree of the President of December 14, 2017 No. UP-5285).
This model implies the organization of a single production cycle, which includes the cultivation of raw cotton, primary processing, further processing at cotton ginning enterprises and the production of final textile products with high added value.
The decision of the Government of Uzbekistan approved a list of enterprises - organizers of cotton-textile production - direct participants in this experiment. A number of conditions are additionally introduced for them. The Uzextextilprom Association monitors the implementation of projects on a daily basis.
According to the cotton-textile clusters enterprises, as of April 9 of this year cotton-textile clusters of the republic have completed planting more than 52 thousand hectares or 33% of the total area of the plan.
One of the leaders of this season, LLC "Guzor Textile Impex" completed the sowing works on 3 thousand hectares of land in the Angora region of Surkhandarya region.
In the Surkhandarya region in the Sherabad and Sariosiai districts, the Sherabad Textile LLC, with a total of more than 9,000 hectares of land allocated for the cotton-textile cluster, sowed cotton seed in 8,000 hectares, which is 86.8% of the total area.
In the Navoiinsky region of Khatirchinsky, Kiziltepinsky and Karmanai districts, Bakht Textil LLC plant sowed cotton on 11 thousand hectares, which is 45.3% of the total area of planned crops.
Also, the sowing works were completed on almost 7,000 hectares of land in the Balikchi district of the Andijan region at the enterprise for the production of cotton textiles by Digital Prime Textile LLC.
To complete the season in the shortest possible time on cotton-textile clusters, crops are sown intensively, and now in the country cotton crops are more than 5 thousand hectares of land a day.
The widespread use by cluster enterprises of light industry of the cluster method will facilitate the complete processing of raw cotton grown in the region on its own, export of ready-made knitwear, and gaining a worthy place in the world market.
